About Me

Hi, I’m Ira Cooper — a portrait, car, and landscape photographer based in Central Virginia.

I’m currently a senior in high school, where I’ve spent the past few years sharpening my craft, chasing light, and building a portfolio I’m proud of. My work has been selected for the Annual Office of Instruction Art Show and is featured on the third floor of the Albemarle County Office Building at 401 McIntire Road in Charlottesville — a milestone that means a lot to me.

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I picked up a camera at four years old and somehow just understood how to frame a shot. That instinct stuck with me — and it’s only grown stronger over the years. I've taken photography courses all throughout high school, and I plan to continue studying it at the university level this fall.

Outside of the lens, I’m passionate about cars and the automotive world. I love combining photography with the way my brain naturally thinks about form, mechanics, and movement — capturing cars not just as objects, but as stories in motion.

Whether I’m shooting portraits, cars, landscapes, or track days, my goal is always the same: to make you feel something when you see the image. To create work that feels personal, striking, and real.

Pricing depends on the type of shoot and what you need, but I always aim to keep it fair, transparent, and worth every dollar.

Portrait sessions start at $200, with options for individuals, families, seniors, and pets.
Car shoots also start at $200, with upgraded packages available for rolling shots and special setups.
Track day coverage starts at $300 per car, with group and full-day rates available for drivers or teams who want full-session coverage.
Real estate sessions are priced based on property size and location, with fast turnaround and MLS-ready edits.

How long does it take to receive my photos?

Delivery times can vary based on the type of session and how many images we capture, but I always communicate clearly and keep you in the loop.

Portraits and car shoots are typically delivered within 1–2 weeks, but I’ll always give you an exact timeframe after your shoot.

Track day coverage is usually delivered within 2-3 weeks, depending on the number of sessions and edits involved.

Real estate photos are delivered within 24–48 hours to meet listing deadlines.
